Knowledge Transfer
TechKnowledge Birmingham's Blended Learning Model:
Learner-Centered and Learner-Controlled
We're moving away from using the terms "training" and "classes."
We've learned that, for most 21st-Century organizations, time is more precious than money.
We also realize that people learn in many different ways.
We prefer a knowledge transfer system that is varied, precise, and quick-hitting.
We are working to create a subscription-based system:
Knowledge Transfer as a Service.
Our clients need to be in control of their own learning. Our goal, therefore, is a broad menu of choices.
Our system (under construction!) will include: seminars, asynchronous (anytime!) videos or podcasts, and distance learning.
Why? Current Research Shows That:
- Knowledge transfer is maximized when the learner is in control of his or her own learning.
- Knowledge workers and information technology experts need customized, flexible options for accessing new information. Required: Mass-customization of systems which are responsive to individuals.
- Work and learning should be seamless. Knowledge Transfer should be an ongoing process in the workplace.
